I’m guessing that Intel’s contingency plan includes a US government bailout if they fail.

Support is what makes me worry about Milk-V and their flood of RISC-V products. You see videos where somebody is trying to get Ubuntu working on Mars while using some colorful language or how the same guy purchased two Meles which were DOA and it makes me wonder how thinly spread their support must be. Or perhaps how packed the Pi Foundation and community support must be.
last firmware update I performed for my TV removed features, including the ability to see what resolution and framerate the set was currently displaying.
UI designers have had a war on information density for a loooooong time.
Why do I get the weird feeling that they wouldn’t use Xbox, but rather Zune, if they did.
I went into a near seething rage when I found out Android 12 let OEMs decide bloatware was completely immune to ADB disable commands. root’s the only method to get to the non-disable xml files and remove that “functionality”.
Can we go with Egypt? I feel like they should get some more time in the history books.
Personal computers and flagship phones? Yeah you can probably use exFAT.
Video game consoles and handhelds? Dashcams? Car entertainment centers? Cheap android devices? 100% going to be FAT32 partitioned with a Master Boot Record
I love how the arstechnica article words it like you will never need FAT32 and it’s silly to consider it.
I had to download fat32format I don’t know how many times because I needed to format an extra large SD Card or USB drive for some device. Microsoft really shafted exFAT’s adoption with their licensing.
I dumped Brave when it decided to install its VPN as a service without my consent. I had so much trouble ripping out all the traces of that.
It’s like I cursed myself. THE DAY AFTER posting this I found out that the enclosed battery in my phone is swelling, and I have no method to remove it.
Nah, people are just better at prioritizing.
Unfortunately no, I haven’t found a fork under active development.
I had to switch to uMatrix after NoScript broke all embedded media. It seems to still block all the 3rd party scripts, but allows 1st party by default so less severe website breakage.
It’s criminal that companies are allowed to release products with sealed Lithium-ion batteries. Like… even excluding the benefit of hot-swapping them for better uptime, extending the product’s life with replacement, and limiting the proprietary shapes… old Lithium-ion batteries swell and explode. So why are we putting them into the core of our products with no way to see the health and remove them?
Forgive my ignorance, but an apartment where the landlord is removed and people just pay building maintenance is… a condominium, no?
I’m waiting on the new X870 chipset boards to come out. Why buy an old board with a new processor?
