Very understandable that song is awesome
I basically listened to it on loop for a week and ruined the effect

Can it not be powered via the same cable the display goes over? I only have one usb c port and would rather not have multiple cables for it at all if I can help it
Do you use an autotiler out of curiosity? I found since using a tiling wm I don’t use my extra monitors nearly as much
Yep that it is. To be honest can live with an external one, the main thing is keeping it in the same bag as the laptop and not needing an extra power supply adding weight
I get what you mean but it’s already clunky and bulky, it’s a p50
I used to use neovim for a while, the main reason I migrated to helix was because it just has everything built in, no need to spend hours getting lsps working and everything
The motions are vastly better than vim though imo, the select as you go thing makes it feel a lot more natural
(For example, w moves you to the end of the word and selects it, then pressing it again deselects and selects the next word unless you’re in v mode)
Meaning to delete a word it’s w+d not d+w
Also very good multi cursor support, instead of typing out a long sed command I can select a block or all, and do S,(regex) and it spawns a cursor on every match which can do everything the normal one can
As for it being everywhere have you ever used sshfs? It’s always my go-to when editing projects on a remote server and then you can use whatever you want
What’s your sample size, do you actually talk to many gen z
If you asked them where they saved a photo on a smartphone they’re not going to tell you a filepath because that’s not how people use smartphones. I probably couldn’t tell you where photos are stored physically on my phone without going out of my way to find that info
Also Google photos is a valid answer to that question because the file is saved in Google photos, just because it’s cloud storage doesn’t make it not storage. In that case local storage is basically just a cache anyway
That’s a conscious decision though I said someone who doesn’t know
It’s a pretty good indicator. If you spend all day working with computers chances are you’ll be able to type quickly
Pretty sure someone who doesn’t know to plug their GPU in is probably not running Linux
We didn’t have specific typing class but we had IT in both primary and secondary, at least late gen z got plenty of computer time in school and most I know in my generation are decent typists at least
Man look at millennials turning into boomers at record pace
“back in my day we did things properly, now all these damn kids… etc etc”
Having a bind that just instantly toggles between speakers/headphones is one of the major reasons I’m now stuck with Linux whether I like it or not
Was one of the big things that got me hooked in general because audio config is such a pain on windows
There’s still something nice about np++ though, sure it might be unnecessary on Linux but it just feels familiar and reliable
What if I swap it out with helix like that statue in Indiana jones
To be fair I’ve found it much better to post in more generic communities than specific ones given the much smaller user count here, though generally I do that as a one off
I’m mainly looking to expand my social circle with some hobbies that aren’t exclusively populated with nerdy dudes
Is this caused by rock climbing or a pre-existing condition made worse by it? I was considering giving climbing a go at some point (have to assume it’s a pre-existing condition or nobody would rock climb right?)

Do they not just… test the blood before they use it anyway? You’d think they’d want to do that regardless
